All Our Work Is In Five Steps

Step 1—Introductory Meeting: We will meet with you and your spouse at your home to go over your needs and your design ideas, to decide what is possible and what isn’t, agree on the scope of work to be done and sign a contract.

Step 2—Demolition and Design: We will start off the project by demolishing the area to be remodeled. As soon as the room has been cleared out of demolition debris, we will meet with our cabinet maker to pick your desired cabinet door style, wood type, color, finish, features and layout. At that time, you will also pick the fixtures, appliances, fixtures, counter tops and flooring.

Step 3—Framing and Rough Electric and Plumbing Work Based on the layout and design, we will then build the framing for the walls and fixtures as needed, then bring in the eletricians and plumbers to lay down the rough electric and plumbing for the switches, outlets, lighting and all other electrical and plumbing fixtures.

Step 4—Finish Next we cover the walls with drywall, patching, sanding and painting. Now the room is ready for cabinetry and fixture installation, and for finish electrical and plumbing, connecting the lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures and appliances.

Step 5—Completion At this point, we will have a walk-through meeting, and prepare a punch list of final items that need to be done or touched up. Once the items on the punchlist have been completed to your total satisfaction, we are going to have a toast and you will enjoy your beautiful new home!


Building Approval Permits

Building Approvals & Permits Building Approval Process Requirements for approval of a renovation will vary based upon a project’s complexity. We will submit the palns with (workscope, design, insurance documents, etc.) for permits with the Building Dept. A project tends to require more processing when plumbing or electrical fixtures may be relocated or when walls are being removed. However every building is different, In single family homes. In Any case we’ll take care of that process and help you to plan accordingly. Architectural Needs and Permits When a project calls for radical change and/or requires an architect, we will provide a qualified and licensed architect according to your particular style. The architect can offer a design consultation, feasibility assessment or full scale drawings and Building Dept. approval. We work with a select group of architects who’s focus is primarily residential renovation.
